Praise the Lord for His Rest!

Pastor Joyce and Drama Evangelist Rich Swingle lead the congregation in the song of the Sabbath -- Psalm 92.  Together the community celebrates resting as Eva P. brings her personal testimony to illustrate Resting in His Loyal-Love.  Pastor Randy Solomon gives testimony to Resting in His Great Works, citing Lee Strobel's book The Case for a Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God

Rich Swingle performs his monologue  Hudson Taylor Invests in China and shares how this piece encouraged a young believer to Rest in God's Provision. And Prayer Director Liz J. shares her journey from fighting His Provision and Will to Resting in His Provision and Will.

Pastor Joyce had preached on Psalm 92 in April 2019, as well.  To hear, click here.

Praise the Lord for His Wonder

Pastor Randy and Melanie Solomon led a very interactive exploration of Psalm 19 and 104. Many members of WCCC shared their testimonies of the wonder of the Lord and his creation. Pastor Randy mentioned The Case for a Creator by Lee Strobel, the author of The Case for Christ, which was made into a major motion picture

From Rich's performance at the
Nordic Black Theatre in Oslo, Norway
Pastor Linda Warren mentioned Rich’s upcoming performance of his one-man play about John Woolman who spoke against slavery over a century before the Civil War in America. It will be at Warwick Valley Church of the Nazarene on September 28 at 6pm. She mentions his performance of that play last year in Norway. Purge the Evil from Your Life!

Pastor Jim Warren wraps up The Word is Marching On series with a two-part message from the life of King Josiah as an example of a person who chose to live by the Word.  This message from 2 Chronicles 34 shows how the young king overcame his past to do right in the eyes of the Lord and purged the evil from the land of Judah.  Pastor Jim encourages us to allow the Word and the Spirit to show us of the evil in our own lives that needs to be purged through our repentance and submission to the Word and the Spirit.

Pastor Joyce Swingle prays for the message.

Steep in the Word!

Pastor Linda Warren shows how wisdom comes through keeping the Word, loving the Lord and --especially -- steeping in the Word, from Deut. 6: 1-9.  This message continues The Word is Marching On series, applying lessons learned from a message she preached last fall titled "The Word Makes Us Wise" from Psalm 119: 97-104.  Elizabeth J. reads the Scripture from the Psalm and prays for the message.
