Jesus Is the One You've Been Looking For

Pastor Jim Warren leads into his message about Jesus with his depiction of the Prophet Elijah as he is fed miraculously by the Lord (1 Kings 17:1-7). He then unfolds Luke 7.

We are encouraged to remember that Jesus is The Miracle Worker and the One in whom we can place all our trust, even in these stressful, uncertain times.

Pastor Jim mentions Lee Strobel, whose faith story is told in his book The Case for Christ, which was made into a film, as well. You can see the trailer below.

Take the Land by Making Space for God!

Pastor Jim Warren continues our series "Taking the Land" in Joshua 6 -- the battle of Jericho.  Pastor Jim explains the necessity of the Lord's judgment on the contagious and isolating nature of sin and yet His life-giving mercy as shown to those -- like Rahab -- who are drawn to Him.
To open, Pastor Jim encourages the congregation to be one of the people -- like the Israelites under Joshua's leadership -- who makes space for God, rather than being one of the people -- like those in Jericho -- whose lives are too crowded with sin for the Lord's Presence.

Though we're not going to post our Annual Meeting, those of you who were there heard Pastor Jim Warren talk about how we're swimming against the "fish" of this world.

The opening credits for The Chosen, the excellent series based on the life of Jesus and his disciples, captures this same concept:
