Here is Rich's performance of Harvey Silverstein The Innkeeper on the other side of the wall from what is believed to be the actual manger in which Jesus was born. Our guide to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem said it's over 9 out of 10 probability that it's the actual manger because a Byzantine church is built over a little chapel enclosing a stone manger. It is the oldest church on earth that is still being used. It was built within 100 years of Jesus' death, so it was the grandkids of those who were there that identified it as The Spot.

Peter Walks on the Sea of Galilee

This was performed on The Sea of Galilee during CITA to the Nations: Jordan and Israel.

Scripture by Jenny, performance by Rich Swingle, who commented:

I had this idea on Westchester Chapel's trip in 2005, but when we arrived on this trip there were three boats and none of them looked like they would work for this sketch. But then our guide told us we were on the third boat, which turned out to be the very boat that inspired the idea six years ago.

Peter's Mother-in-Law

This sketch was performed in Capernaum, about 100m from where they believe Peter's mother-in-law lived. Anna B. and Morgen M. developed this sketch and Rich Swingle stepped in as Jesus.

Strangely, the video doesn't show on Chrome, but we found that it does work on Safari, and hopefully it does on others.

Virtual Church

Welcome to Westchester Chapel. We couldn't meet in our new home today, but we're glad you stopped by for fellowship and spiritual growth anyway.

At WestchesterChapel.org/BookStore you can find links to downloads of music created by our own musicians (that page will great you) as well as songs we sing that our musicians didn't write (click the Our Music link).  Worship the Lord, and check out the offerings below on this page, or if you want to go further back, visit WestchesterChapel.org/Media for sermons, creative worship, pastoral prayers and (for those of you who have already made plans for the day) mini-messages. They go all the way back to 2008.

Then fellowship!  Come back to this page and post a comment, a praise, a prayer request and/or a prayer.  Maybe you'll want to post a reflection on your reading from Psalm 91 since we couldn't meet for Thirst, or share something that struck you in a new way from The Gospel if you've taken Pastor Randy's suggestion and have been reading through one this Lenten Season.

Last night I had dinner with friends of mine, Charlie and Ruth Jones of Peculiar People, who continue to tour with drama as they have for decades. They've taken a bit of a shift and have started a community ministry in Greensboro, NC. In the photo you can see that they set up a table in the hallway of their space and invite 50 people to dinner once a month.

The table is set. Feed each other today with your posts.

in Christ alone,
