Several from Westchester Chapel visited Nazareth Village while performing and teaching in Jordan and Israel. They have a synagogue set up as it likely was in Jesus' day, and the scroll of Isaiah is unrolled to Chapter 61.

Get Out of Jail

Pastor Randy Solomon continues our series The Church Advances with Acts 12, about -- among other things -- Peter miraculously walking out of prison. Pastor Randy tells about Palau the movie. You can download the scene he mentions by clicking here. He also tells an amazing modern story from the book The Heavenly Man, about Brother Yun, who was imprisoned by the communists and miraculously walked out of jail. Pastor Randy opened the service by showing a photo of a prison wall, like the one below. He mentioned that Christians are persecuted today, and here's an article on how Christians are the most persecuted people group on earth today: Global Persecution Report: 'Christians Are the Most Persecuted ...and It's Accelerating'.

Opening and closing prayers are by Pastor Jim Warren, who teaches briefly on Daniel 3. Prayer over sermon and offering are by Pastor Rachel Taylor.

Recommit to the Covenant

The Coming of the Radical Being

Pastor Linda Warren illuminates John 1:1-18. Kimberly A. reads Luke 2:8-11, the story of the angels announcing the birth of the Christ Child to the shepherds. Love in Denmark

Westchester Chapel supported Rich and Pastor Joyce Swingle as they performed and preached around Europe. In this message, Pastor Joyce shares about God's love from 1 John 4:7-21 for the Nazarene Church in Greve, Denmark, just outside of Copenhagen.

Joyce was interpreted into Danish through headphones for those who needed it, so she doesn't pause for interpretation, but you can hear the interpreter speaking into the headphone system.

Purity or Pollution?

In his testimony Piero mentioned the story of the prodigal son. While we (the Swingles) attended the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival we saw a great short film on that passage. Parents should watch it before deciding whether or not to show their children, since it depicts the life of the prodigal. It would probably merit a PG rating.
