Michael Rath, January 13, 1995 — January 22, 2014

Thank you all for your prayers for James, Kathy and Jake as they mourn Michael's death.

Pastors Jim Warren and Randy Solomon opened and closed the wake:

The video camera ran out of memory, so there is only an audio recording of the remembrances:

Pastor Jim Warren baptized Mike at
Ridgeway Alliance Church, where his
funeral was held.
From one of Mike's favorite songs:

Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead

And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart,
"Worthy is the Lamb"

From "I Will Rise" by Chris Tomlin

  2. Please pray that the family will be comforted, loved, and soothed by the Lord's Spirit through the kindnesses and love of His People. Pray that the services honor Michael's life, faith, family and friends. Pray for the Lord's comfort and shalom for James, Kathy and Jake and all the extended family and friends. Ask God to remember and reach each person who loved and cared for Michael in healing and comfort.
