It's Wise to Ask for the Gift of Wisdom

Pastor Joyce Swingle preaches on 1 Corinthians 2:1-16Melanie S. shares how part of our giving goes to Nazarene Missions International and Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. Agnes G. mentioned that The Church of the Nazarene helped when her home country of Dominica was devastated by Erika. The question was raised as to whether or not any percentage of our weekly tithes and offerings go toward the Syrian refugee crisis, and the Church of the Nazarene has a fund for specific donations. Unity through Spiritual Gifts and Death to Selfie

Pastor Jim Warren preaches on Ephesians 4:1-16. Rich Swingle opens with a story of how their friends have been handing out Bibles in Paris for about a dozen years. He mentioned how the piano tuner for Horowitz gave his life to the Lord after pulling out a Bible he'd been given on a university campus, though he intended to use it to discredit Christianity. Here's a link to the fuller story. Adrienne and John C. led us in a craft for the children who will receive our Operation Christmas Child boxes. Pastor Joyce Swingle prayed over the service and brought the announcements.

Here's one of the bracelets we made for the children of Operation Christmas Child.
