Fear and Faith in the Furnace

Pastor Joyce Swingle speaks on overcoming fear in the Furnace of Affliction, using the story of Jacob's move to Egypt from Genesis 45:25-Genesis 46:27.   Pastor Joyce shares how the Lord spoke His Word of assurance to Jacob about the move to Egypt and encourages the congregation to seek the Lord's Word instead of succumbing to fear.  The Lord transforms fear into the courage and faith to follow Jesus.  Pastor Jim Warren opens the service and Dr. Linda Warren prays before the message.

Walking By Faith/Walking in Fear

Pastor Jim Warren shares a "Fear Checklist" from the life of Abram as depicted in Gen. 12: 1-20 to help us know when we are in the grip of fear rather than courage in the Lord.

On the checklist:
1. Are you looking at the situation through the world's perspective or God's perspective?
2. Have you forgotten the Lord's blessings and promises for you?
3. Are you trying to solve the issue in your power and wisdom rather than the Lord's power and wisdom?
4. Is the fear causing you to lie, deceive or put other people in a bad situation?
Drama Evangelist Rich Swingle opens and closes the service, leading in musical worship, while Pastor Joyce Swingle leads the congregation in celebrating the Lord's Supper.
